Tuna Salad

 

 

 
 


Pantry Shelf Gourmet Tuna Salad Sandwich

 

1 (170 gram) can Pantry Shelf Flaked White Albacore Tuna

1 (170 gram) can Pantry Shelf Flaked Light Tuna

(if packed in water, drain and add a teaspoon of good quality olive oil)

1/3 cup cottage cheese

4 tablespoons mayonnaise

1/2 purple onion, chopped finely

2 celery stalks, chopped finely

4 tablespoons finely chopped green onions

Juice of half of a lemon

Pinch or two of dill

2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

2 teaspoons Pantry Shelf prepared mustard

Salt & Pepper to taste

(optional - lettuce and sliced tomatoes)

Slices of French bread or bagels lightly toasted & buttered

Mix all of the ingredients. Serve on buttered toast, either open faced, or in a regular sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes garnished with Pantry Shelf Pickles. For a low carb option, serve on a leaf of lettuce.

 

Makes 4 – 6  generous servings.
